Mission
As part of Movements International Fiji Log sales team, you will be responsible for developing company Log footprint in Air & Ocean Freight forwarding in the market and winning additional logistics business in the area/country.

You will develop and sell air & ocean transportation customized solution for customers. Target is to develop long term relationships to create a sustainable, profitable, consistent and recurrent business. The successful candidate will ensure that MIFiji meet its business objectives by increasing revenue and gross margin.

Position - Account Manager  ( Air & Ocean Freight ) 
Within MIFIJI Logistics, you prospect, you enhance customer loyalty and you develop your customers’ portfolio, according to the policy and the commercial objectives defined by Mifiji. You will report directly to the Mifiji Logistics Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

 As Outside Sales Representative Air & Ocean Freight you will structure and organize our products in line with our Directions, in such away that it will be profitable, and operational structured to ensure and secure a good, reliable and value added product for our network and local office.
 As Outside Sales Representative Air & Ocean Freight your main task will be to promote our products in every form to ensure promotion and sales of out possibilities. Your primary responsibility is to realize sales targets and execute the sales strategy as it’s been laid out.
 Maintain existing customer relations as well as expand our customer base with new ones, whilst keeping your customer portfolio up-to-date at all times by administrating date in the available Reporting system.
 Visit existing and potential customers to understand their needs and built with the operational team a customized solution that perfectly fits with customers’ requirements.
 Secure customer generated revenues and serve as the main entry point for air & ocean freight both internally and externally. Your sales activities will be divided between primarily outside sales (i.e. customer visits) and inside sales (i.e. acquisition by phone – both warm & cold).
   
  Customer information and propose custom-made services according to their requirements. You participate in the elaboration of the sales offer and discuss with the customer the terms and conditions of the contract. For that purpose, you negotiate the prices according to the pricing policy of our group. and ensure the follow-up of the sale until the payment and you may need to take part in the commercial management and settlement of claims and litigations. You participate in the definition of business strategy and corporate marketing. As a true ambassador of the company with customers, you follow and analyze the economic and social changes of your perimeter and raise the relevant information to your hierarchy.

Actively participate in sharing best practices with the rest of the sales team.

 Define and implement your own Commercial Action Plan with your report manager.
 Closely work with the customer service team to develop supply chain solutions
 Negotiate with suppliers the best conditions adapted to customers.
 Monitor the progress of the shipment until final destination.
 Participate to the contract setting and monitor customers’ payment with the Collection Desk.
 Participate in the management of commercial disputes.
 Besides, you may have to ensure a competitive intelligence and occasionally carry out marketing
studies.
 Work with other branches to share sales leads (potential business of your
customers related to other branches area)

 In addition, as member of our sales force, you ensure the recognize, mention and
communicate possible other logistic services, such as our multimodal transport, cargo insurance, overland development and storing solutions towards your customers’ portfolio, and share this with the Sales team in order to promote and follow up.

Skills, qualifications and requirements :

 Proven broad commercial and operational experience in the sector.
 Sales force, you possess a strong knowledge and network in the region.
 Capable to independently expand the air & ocean freight department and make it
profitable/increase profitability.
 Possess continuous drive to (further) develop sales activities.
 Highly motivated by challenges, your negotiation skills and your ability to close deals will
be essential in achieving your goals.
 You have a good understanding of transportation industry and in particular, international
air & ocean freight shipping specifics and related cost and revenue drivers
 Your autonomy, rigor, responsiveness and proactivity will enable you to be successful.
 You have strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
 Good analytical skills
 Proven track record of sales in a similar role in freight forwarding industry
 Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
 Minimum of 2years experience in Airfreight and sea Industry
 Excellent skills in English, both speaking and writing.
 Possession of a valid driver’s license

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE : CUSTOMER SERVICE

JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for SEA & AIR bookings
  • Responsible for monitoring actual booking versus allocation
  • Responsible for all activities within MIFL policies and procedures

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Received (by phone, email and e-booking) and inputs booking as required
  • Place booking in system and send booking confirmation to customer
  • Ensure customer pick-up details are recorded in the system for carrier bookings
  • Ensure all dangerous, hazardous and special cargo bookings are completed
  • Reserve grade A or special equipment with depot and logistic team
  • Solving problems
  • Do auto freighting and chase account owner if thing(s) missing
  • Promote e-channel to customers including supporting them to register into website
  • Handle COD on customer’s request
  • Follow up the procedure of compliances
  • Produce release/acceptance instructions for the appropriate depot, terminal or hub and monitors merchant haulage container pick up and terminal delivery
  • Actions all Customer Service amendments, queries and complaints received
  • Monitoring actual bookings versus allocations on daily basis and weekly Basis
  • Liaise with Logistic Team last minute new bookings, cancellations, amendments and cut-offs
  • Liaise with Vessel Co-ordination team on space issues. Obtaining additional space above allocation. Closer to vessel arrival, notifying of cancellations/amendments
  • Inform key clients of changes to services as required
  • Maximize vessel allocation and ensures space is utilized effectively
  • Communicate with customer on forecast space needs and ensure this covered with allocation confirmation by vessel coordinator
  • Build and develop close relationships with customers and understands key clients
  • Undertake extra duties when requested by your Team leader
  • Due to Time Difference with overseas agents you will be required to correspond via email , phone etc after hours and to maintain an efficient and smooth booking.

Minimum Level of Qualification:

  • Have Experience in logistics, shipping or freight forwarding is preferable
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Knowledge shipping / forwarding industry

ACCOUNTS RECEIVEABLE

Accounts Receivable Officer

 Responsibilities include:

  • Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data
  • Preparing bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Make follow-up calls
  • Keep records of payments 
  • Identify which accounts are overdue 
  • Contact companies or people owing money 
  • Report back to management

Functions of being a debtors clerk:

  1. Record all cash, cheque and credit card transactions made
  2. Update unpaid accounts 
  3. Keep accounts organized 
  4. Follow unauthorised deductions made on accounts
  5. Participate in educational opportunities 

Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Officer
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software 
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
